These photographic collages were made in early morning light in Tarragona, Spain.  The sun had to be just high enough to flow into the alleys to illuminate the facades of these ancient buildings.  I only had about 20 minutes each morning before the sun rose so high that the entire alley was enveloped in deep shadows.  It became a morning ritual for me to race with the sun in search of brilliant colors, deep textures, and memorable compositions in the beautiful back streets of old Tarragona.   Each collage is made up of 3-4 photographs.
